The Hermitage cabins are situated high up on a rock overlooking the calm waters of Dalslands canal. Built with re-used doors and windows these sustainably built wooden off-grid cabins for two are a perfect place to unwind. We have created a calm oasis without electricity or running water. The perfect place for a Digital Detox. A comfortable double bed, Scandinavian furniture and cosy fireplace for chilly evenings. Natural insulation of wool and hemp creates a warm and a each cabin has its own personal style. The very large windows bring you closer to nature with a beautiful view of the trees and water.

The calm waters of the Dalsland canal are only a short walk from your cabin. Take a canoe for two or your own kayak and go with the flow. The Dalsland landscape is so uniquely Swedish with an abundance of versatile scenery. You see idyllic situated red cabins, pristine forests, picturesque lock settings and clear mirror like lakes. A trip on the canal is a trip on one of the world’s most beautiful waterways and through a miniature Sweden.

In the evening you will enjoy a delicious meal, admire the amazing sunset and have time to contemplate on the things you have experienced.

After a good nights sleep you awake refreshed and enjoy a tasty Scandinavian breakfast.

The days ahead are free for you to choose. Why not explore the local environment? If you like you can discover some of the nearby attractions like the Aqueduct at Håverud. Or perhaps try one of the activities you missed yesterday. Then again you could just chill out and enjoy the tranquility here.

Your evening meal made from local products can be enjoyed from the nearby Brasseri, outdoors in the forest or at a beautiful location on the farm.
